ThaiBev is due to launch the first batch of its two-year debentures worth 50 billion baht in March. In a related development, ThaiBev reported that revenue and net profit in the first quarter of its fiscal 2018 (Oct-Dec 2017) totalled 45.6 billion baht and 3 billion baht, respectively. The company's revenue and net profit dropped from 46.8 billion baht and 7.7 billion in the same period last year. Excluding the non-recurring item and other acquisition-related finance costs, net profit would have amounted to 5.5 billion baht. Meanwhile, the food business recorded a 42.3% year-on-year revenue spike and a 2,080% surge in net profit, driven by contributions from the KFC acquisition.
